A short history about the VW Jetta:
The Jetta is a compact sedan produced since 1979 over five generations. The first generation was essentially a Golf with a trunk attached, with suspension and wheelbase length identical. The first generation made safety a point of emphasis, install automatic belts. The NHTSA rated it five stars through its crash tests. Criticisms about interior room were addressed in the second generation with an expansion in both interior and exterior dimensions. The car grew in popularity through subsequent generations, to the point that when the name was changed in most other markets, VW kept the Jetta name in North America out of customer loyalty. By the fifth and current generation, the Jetta was so well liked in America it was made only the second VW to debut in the U.S. and was subsequently sold first in the U.S. The sixth generation will go on sale for the 2011 model year.
HID (High-Intensity Discharge) Lights, Bulbs, Lamps -
High-Intensity Discharge lamps are a type of arc lamp. Light is made in an arc lamp when electricity jumps across two points or electrodes. Usually the arc light bulb has a vacuum inside and when electricity is pushed from one side the electricity jumps across to the other side and creates light. High-Intensity Discharge works in the same fashion except it has a big power booster.
