A short history about the Pontiac G5:
Formerly the Chevy Cobalt, the Pontiac G5 was a compact produced from 2005 to 2009. Available only as a coupe in the United States, the G5 replaced the Sunbird. It was packaged with a new electric power steering system which went through technical difficulties, a fact which led GM to recall many of the G5s to fix the problem. Standard powertrain was a 2.2 L Ecotec I4 engine with a 5-speed manual or a 4-speed automatic transmission. The car was discontinued in 2009 following the announcement the entire Pontiac brand would be phased out in 2010.
HID (High-Intensity Discharge) Lights, Bulbs, Lamps -
High-Intensity Discharge lamps are a type of arc lamp. Light is made in an arc lamp when electricity jumps across two points or electrodes. Usually the arc light bulb has a vacuum inside and when electricity is pushed from one side the electricity jumps across to the other side and creates light. High-Intensity Discharge works in the same fashion except it has a big power booster.
