A short history about the Pontiac Firebird:

The Firebird was a pony car produced from 1967 to 2002 over four generations. It was available as a 2-door coupe or convertible in its first generation. The design was something of a compromise for Pontiac, who had envisioned a 2-seat sports car. This was vetoed by GM, who didn’t want internal competition from Chevy’s Corvette. The original base powertrain was an I6, though the more popular option was one of the V8s. The second generation established the Firebird’s famous slant-nose front as part of a 1977 facelift. This was watered down in the next generation facelift and smoothed out entirely by the fourth generation. This design was more aerodynamic, which conflicted somewhat with the pop-up headlights, which would create a noticeable drag when activated. A 3.4 L V6 engine came standard. Faced with slumping sales and a trend away from sports coupes, GM canceled the Firebird after 2002.

HID (High-Intensity Discharge) Lights, Bulbs, Lamps -

High-Intensity Discharge lamps are a type of arc lamp. Light is made in an arc lamp when electricity jumps across two points or electrodes. Usually the arc light bulb has a vacuum inside and when electricity is pushed from one side the electricity jumps across to the other side and creates light. High-Intensity Discharge works in the same fashion except it has a big power booster.
