A short history about the Pontiac 6000:
Produced from 1982 to 1991, the Pontiac 6000 was a mid-size car created to replace the LeMans. The 6000 began as a 2-door coupe (dropped in 1989) and a 4-door sedan, adding a station wagon called the Safari in 1984. The 6000 was an immediate success, climbing to the top of Pontiac’s sales charts in 1984. Customers appreciated the performance of the 2.5 L I4 engine as well as the car’s forward-looking style. The 6000 STE package (introduced in 1983) made Car and Driver’s Ten Best list three years in a row. The line was eventually canceled to make way for the 6000’s successor, the Grand Prix.
HID (High-Intensity Discharge) Lights, Bulbs, Lamps -
High-Intensity Discharge lamps are a type of arc lamp. Light is made in an arc lamp when electricity jumps across two points or electrodes. Usually the arc light bulb has a vacuum inside and when electricity is pushed from one side the electricity jumps across to the other side and creates light. High-Intensity Discharge works in the same fashion except it has a big power booster.
