A short history about the Lexus LX:
The LX has been produced for three generations beginning in 1996. It is a full-size SUV and Lexus’ first foray into the SUV market. The first generation was basically an upscale version of the Toyota Land Cruiser. It was a successful launch, exceed sales expectations to the point that customers had to go on waiting lists because of the demands on production. It was also critically acclaimed, earning the top rank among full-size SUVs from J.D. Power. The second generation again took its inspiration from the Land Cruiser, though a greater effort was made to differentiate the two. By the third generation, the LS was taking the lead and was released before the Land Cruiser for the first time. Horsepower was increased to 383, thanks to the new 5.7 L V8 engine. It also grew by one inch in width and four inches in length. Sales have dropped in the last few years due to rising oil prices, but Lexus intends to ride out the storm
HID (High-Intensity Discharge) Lights, Bulbs, Lamps -
High-Intensity Discharge lamps are a type of arc lamp. Light is made in an arc lamp when electricity jumps across two points or electrodes. Usually the arc light bulb has a vacuum inside and when electricity is pushed from one side the electricity jumps across to the other side and creates light. High-Intensity Discharge works in the same fashion except it has a big power booster.
