A short history about the Lexus GX:
The Lexus GX has been produced since 2002 over two generations. It is a mid-size luxury SUV that was created with the North American market in mind. The first generation was equipped with a 4.7 L V8 engine that garnered 270 horsepower. The GX was well received critically, winning 4-Wheeler of the Year from 4×4 Magazine two years in a row from 2003-2004. The second generation received an upgraded 6-speed automatic transmission HID headlamps are available standard, a first for this model. The GX received some bad publicity when Consumer Reports claimed that there was a severe risk of rollover in the event that the Electronic Stability Control were to fail and the car were to take a sharp, high-speed turn. They knew this because during tests the GX experienced a momentary slide before the ESC activated. Toyota ultimately issued a recall and corrected the issue.
HID (High-Intensity Discharge) Lights, Bulbs, Lamps -
High-Intensity Discharge lamps are a type of arc lamp. Light is made in an arc lamp when electricity jumps across two points or electrodes. Usually the arc light bulb has a vacuum inside and when electricity is pushed from one side the electricity jumps across to the other side and creates light. High-Intensity Discharge works in the same fashion except it has a big power booster.
