A short history about the Kia Rio:
The Kia Rio is a subcompact that has been sold since 2001, replacing the Pride. It has been available as a 5-door hatchback and a 4-door sedan. The 1.5 L I4 engine was the sole option from 2001-2002. This was replaced in 2003 by a 1.6 L I4. The Rio was redesigned for its second generation, which began in the model year 2006 and continues to the present. This changed brought increased size and enhanced fuel economy and safety. Sirius Satellite radio was made standard in 2009, as was a Bluetooth interface. Insure.com ranked this model as the 5th least expensive car to insure. The 2010 Rio received a mild facelift in order to add the new Tiger Nose corporate logo to the grille.
HID (High-Intensity Discharge) Lights, Bulbs, Lamps -
High-Intensity Discharge lamps are a type of arc lamp. Light is made in an arc lamp when electricity jumps across two points or electrodes. Usually the arc light bulb has a vacuum inside and when electricity is pushed from one side the electricity jumps across to the other side and creates light. High-Intensity Discharge works in the same fashion except it has a big power booster.
