A short history about the Kia Optima:
The Optima has been in production since 2000, replacing the Credos. It is a mid-size 4-door sedan produced for three generations so far. The first generation Optima was a rebadged Hyundai Sonata. In 2002, a luxury package, the Optima Regal was added. The Optima carried over the Sonata’s 2.4 L I4 engine until the second generation revamp, when a 2.0 L Beta II I4 was made standard. This generation impressed in safety tests, earning 5 stars from the NHTSA. Other modernizing additions include Sirius Satellite Radio and an MP3 player. For its third generation in 2010, the Optima has been once again redesigned, incorporating Kia’s new logo and replacing the engine with a 2.4 L GDi I4 engine. The release is planned for the fall of 2010.
HID (High-Intensity Discharge) Lights, Bulbs, Lamps -
High-Intensity Discharge lamps are a type of arc lamp. Light is made in an arc lamp when electricity jumps across two points or electrodes. Usually the arc light bulb has a vacuum inside and when electricity is pushed from one side the electricity jumps across to the other side and creates light. High-Intensity Discharge works in the same fashion except it has a big power booster.
