A short history about the Jeep Commander:
Recognizable for its boxy style, the Jeep Commander is a mid-size SUV produced since 2006. Standard powertrain includes a 3.7 L PowerTech V6 with a 5-speed automatic transmission. It is in some ways a stylistic successor to the Cherokee XJ, although that model would never have included such luxuries as a rear seat DVD player and a rear camera. Sales started strong in 2006, but unfortunately for the Commander, the markets began looking to more fuel-efficient cars following the late 2000’s spike in gas prices. Sales have dropped from their initial level of 88,497 down 12,655 in 2009.
HID (High-Intensity Discharge) Lights, Bulbs, Lamps -
High-Intensity Discharge lamps are a type of arc lamp. Light is made in an arc lamp when electricity jumps across two points or electrodes. Usually the arc light bulb has a vacuum inside and when electricity is pushed from one side the electricity jumps across to the other side and creates light. High-Intensity Discharge works in the same fashion except it has a big power booster.
