A short history about the Honda CRV:
The Honda CR-V is a compact crossover SUV produced since 1996 in response to interest in a Honda SUV. It has gone through three generations, but has mostly been consistent in its design goals. One of the innovative features included is a Real Time four-wheel drive system, in which the car switches automatically from 2 to 4-wheel drive when conditions warrant. The CR-V’s original engine (2.0 L I4 B20B) was later deemed inadequate for the car’s weight, so a B20Z replaced it in 1999. The second generation was redesigned to be more in line with the Civic in appearance. The CR-V maintained it fuel economy while increasing its horsepower, which helped it to win Car and Driver’s Best Small SUV in 2002 and 2003. The CR-V received a new engine for the third and current generation: a 2.4 L I4 from the K-series. This gave the car a boost up to 166 horsepower. This generation is shorter and wider than prior CR-Vs, and with the moving of the spare tire under the rear cargo area, the center of gravity is lowered substantially, decreasing the risk of rollover. The CR-V has consistently sold well, peaking in 2007 at over 200,000 units.
HID (High-Intensity Discharge) Lights, Bulbs, Lamps -
High-Intensity Discharge lamps are a type of arc lamp. Light is made in an arc lamp when electricity jumps across two points or electrodes. Usually the arc light bulb has a vacuum inside and when electricity is pushed from one side the electricity jumps across to the other side and creates light. High-Intensity Discharge works in the same fashion except it has a big power booster.
