HID lights come in a range of colors, from yellow to white to blue to purple. The lower the number the “warmer” the color and the higher the number the “cooler” the color. When it comes to car headlights you want HID lights that are going to be from 3000K for super bright yellow fog lights to white, blue and purple headlights. The standard white is what most people have and not all colors are legal, unfortunately.

A short history about the Ford Galaxie:

The Ford Galaxie made its debut in 1959 as the name of the top models in the Fairlane series. It continued over four generations until 1974. During that time, the style evolved from a very 50’s, ostentatious and pronounced tailfin design into a sleeker design for the 1960s. The Galaxie of this era was rated highly for performance, thanks to its 6.4 L V8. Combined with three two-barrel carburetors, the car could get tremendous speeds for its weight. In 1962, all Ford full-size cars were branded as Galaxies. The third generation received some cosmetic changes in 1965, including the addition of the then-popular vertically stacked dual headlights. The Galaxie also received an upgraded, three-link coil suspension, which delivered noticeably improved ride and handling. It was so good, in fact, that Ford used it on its full-size class for Nascar. The fourth and final generation received an engine upgrade: a 385 series 7.0 L V8. Due in part to rising gas costs, the Galaxie fell out of favor in the market, and Ford decided to focus its marketing on the more popular LTD series, leading to the cancellation of the Galaxie in 1974.

HID (High-Intensity Discharge) Lights, Bulbs, Lamps -

High-Intensity Discharge lamps are a type of arc lamp. Light is made in an arc lamp when electricity jumps across two points or electrodes. Usually the arc light bulb has a vacuum inside and when electricity is pushed from one side the electricity jumps across to the other side and creates light. High-Intensity Discharge works in the same fashion except it has a big power booster.
